Recently I entered a competition here in Christchurch. I submitted a short story and I'm pleased to say that it was chosen as one of the winners. I have just received a WHSmith gift card as a prize, which was a bonus because I didn't even know there was a prize when I entered!

The authorhotline has published the competition winners stories, so I have a story on line. The children had to write a story opener which was then completed by an author. I was lucky enough to finish a story and it can be found on www.authorhotline.com

Got email from my publishers and there seems to have been a problem with my page proofs, hence the delay in getting my book out. Hopefully I'll hear from them next week and will know a new time frame for getting the book finished!

This website goes live on Thursday 4th March to celebrate World Book Day. It has details of lots of authors of children's books,including me, and will be good for schools and children! It also has listing of each authors books and those eagle eyed among you will see I'm still waiting for my next one. Publishers can be so slow!

Nearly at the end of January and I wait with impatience for news from my publishers about my next book; the comp is fired up every morning so I can check my emails but to no avail. Whilst I'm waiting I should really finish the other two stories I have on the go but I can't seem to settle to them. So a silent prayer to the gods of publishers, put me out of my misery so I can get on with my writing!!!
